Dance Events / Dance Workshops

I organize dance events and dance workshops for Square Dance and Contra Dance. Of course I am not alone, the most valuable support I get from my wife Manuela as a good soul and conscience in the background. In addition, the many helping hands of the members of the dance clubs should be thought of, without which such events would not be possible.

Dance and the City

A weekend full of contra dance for young and old, experienced and new dancers, partly with live music.

The dance club A.C.T.S. hosted the ECTA Contra Convention in 2012. Normally mostly German dancers come to the convention. Through our friendly relations with the Danish Contra Dance Community we were able to welcome a larger group from Denmark. On our next visit with the Danes they said 'Make it again, we have already ordered the rooms'. So we launched 'Dance and the City', a combination of Contra Dance workshops and Berlin sightseeing. in 2014 there were more than fifty dancers from Germany, Denmark and Russia. Since then, it has been a regular two-year recurring event.

Mountain Mash

For over 20 years the Mountain Mash has been a multi-day dance event at the turn of the year. Square, Round and Contra Dance are included in the program, supplemented by the wishes and contributions of the participants. The Mountain Mash begins on 28th of December and lasts until 2nd of January. During this time several dance workshops from the Square / Round / Contra Dance are offered daily. On New Year's Eve, the year's change is celebrated with a gala buffet.
