Mountain Mash

Actually, Mountain Mash has nothing to do with mountains at all, at least not anymore. The name originates from the history of the event, it began once as a ski and dance leisure.

For over 25 years the Mountain Mash has been a multi-day dance event at the turn of the year. Square, Round and Contra Dance are included in the program, supplemented by the wishes and contributions of the participants. The Mountain Mash starts on December 28 and lasts until January 2. During this time several dance workshops from the areas Square / Round / Contradance are offered daily. On New Year's Eve, the year's change is celebrated with a gala buffet.
